Comic in my head
If the comic strip in my head right now ( "Mouse Neuron" ) was a movie, this could be the sound track brushfire " I was working my way through Kansas / livin on a dollar and a boyish grin/when I fell into misfortune / with the help of the demon gin / well my mind simply left my body / as it drowned in a pea-green fen / and it goes by the name of Dottie/Dottie won't you do it again/She said I don't give a reason/for being what I am/she don't give a reason/she don't give a damn Well I sit here alone in Frisco / Feelin afraida bein left behind / but with visions of Dottie's body/Sashayin' through my mind [blablabla, pea green fen ] " Instead I'll have to quote it or something There's so many times I've got a comic in my head and there's a soundtrack that should go with the comic but then they're comics Theres a few other songs I was thinking about maybe including snips of the lyrics as narration boxes with some kind of impressionistic montageesque visuals like, just scenes of the characters in different places ... maybe even while the characters are talking ( to solidify the idea of it as a soundtrack ) Maybe as a chapter transition or something there's some other ones id include as soundtracks to the comic if comics had soundtracks : Mississippi queen , ramblin' man ... maybe " pistol packin mama (ragtime) " lay that pistol down, babe, lay that pistol down/pistol packin mama, lay that pistol down ... " ... repeats and that's the whole song. Incredible. You can really tell the Groovies have had to deal with a lot of loose cannon women.
